Kale Chips
There are two ways you can make these bad boys. One is with a dehydrator (which is the way I am showing) the other is in your oven on very low temp. Cooking them at a low heat like this help to keep all the nutrition in tack.
Heres what you need:
2 bunches of Kale
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
2 pinches sea salt (or to taste)
2 tbls. olive oil
Remove the ribs from kale and rip into smallish pieces, place in a large bowl. Place nuts, yeast, salt into blender and combine until a powder is formed. Pour olive oil into kale and massage coating all the leaves. Add in the favor mixture and mix until leaves are coated.
If dehydrating; arrange kale pieces onto trays making sure none are overlapping. Set to 120 degrees and dehydrate for 6-8 hours. When done eat and enjoy. To store place in an airtight container or baggies. Should keep for up to 1 week.
If using oven; Set your oven to lowest setting (usually about 200 degrees) place kale on a cookie sheet making sure not to overlap pieces. Bake for 2-3 hours or until crisp. Store in an airtight container or baggies for up to one week.
Wether or not you have green beer this St. Patti’s Day you can always boost and recharge with these to awesome treats. Hope you enjoy, I will leave you with an Irish Blessing..
